Accomplished Entrepreneur, Small Business Expert and Community Leader
With over two decades of business experience, Emilio has been instrumental in the successful development of thousands of small and medium-sized businesses. Throughout his career, Emilio has provided assistance with market conceptualization, branding, business plan development, facilitating financing, business development, and marketing improvement strategies. As past member and White House appointee to the National Board of Equity and Regulations to the Small Business Administration (SBA), Emilio was tasked to make recommendations regarding funding difficulties that small businesses constantly tackle.
During 2005-2010, Emilio served as President of the Puerto Rican Chamber of Central Florida, which he revitalized into the most successful Puerto Rican Chamber in the mainland U.S. Through the Relocation and Business EXPOs, the PRCCF helped shape the growth of the Puerto Rican community in Central Florida, developing and building opportunity for arriving professionals and entrepreneurs.
In 2012, Emilio founded and served as President of the Central Florida Redistricting Council. The purpose of the CFRC was to lobby and push for Latino majority districts in Central Florida, during the 2012 federal redistricting process. Under Emilio’s leadership, Latinos obtained four new majority districts in the area, including a Congressional majority district. Emilio has also served in several Government Boards in Orange and Seminole County, as well as in the City of Maitland. Furthermore, between 2003 and 2006, he served as President of the Democratic Hispanic Caucus for the State of Florida.
